About the Campaign
The campaign aims to empower families, educators, and therapists at their centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, to support children with Down Syndrome in overcoming speech and language challenges.
Pledged Amount & Breakdown
The funds collected will benefit 130 Children with Down Syndrome and their families together with 50 Special Education Needs (SEN) teachers On average, an amount RM2,000 is needed for each teacher to cover five key areas:
Risk & Challenges
1. Delay in implementing project due to unforeseen challenges - All KDSF centres run on yearly academic calendar. School events such as Parent-Teacher Meeting, Sports Day might interfere with the proposed timeline. - Events such as ad-hoc public holiday, school holidays will also pose threat in implementing the project on schedule
2. Budget overruns: If unforeseen expenses arise or cost estimates are not accurately planned, it may result in the depletion of allocated funds, affecting other project activities. 3. Limited manpower, expertise, or equipment The shortage of trained speech therapists may interfere with the project timeline.

This campaign seeks to provide essential resources such as Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, specialised training, and interactive workshops to enhance communication skills for 130 children and their families.
By bridging gaps in speech therapy services and fostering a supportive environment, the NGO aims to unlock the full potential of these children and improve their quality of life
