2020 was a challenging year globally. Approximately 90,000 Malaysians have lost their jobs and many more affected by reduced income. “20 Rice bowls”, Yayasan Sejahtera hopes to provide income generation opportunities to 20 adults – head of households, single parents, single mothers, through entrepreneurial development programmes for livelihood recovery, so they may provide food on their tables for their families. The Dapur Sejahtera are home based culinary entrepreneurship programmes, apt for single mothers/parents which may be challenged to work from home.
The most vulnerable households which have been pushed into the ranks of B1, need urgent assistance and opportunities to be pushed up the ranks to B2 and B3 in rebuilding livelihood, also skills will help them build resilience
