Product Description
This is an AWM-500 Series of full-metal models of G-Shock's first analog-digital watches. Based on the AW-500 model that was released in 1989—the first-generation analog-digital combination G-Shock watch—these models use hardy stainless steel on their bezels and bands. Gold ion plating has been applied to the entire model. The band was developed specifically for the AWM-500 and manages to recreate the smooth shape of the AW-500 by using a curved design that melds into the case. The back of the watch features Screw Lock Back. A mirror and hairline finish has been applied to each surface of the bezel, and the use of 3D indices on the dial enhances the feel of the watch. The time is automatically corrected within Multi-Band 6 areas. Additionally, Tough Solar technology provides a stable source of power and the watch is packed with functional features such as high-luminance Full Auto LED illumination and World Time.
The model of this GOLD INGOT motif series is the AWM-500 based on the AW-500, which is the first analog-digital G-SHOCK.
The case and bezel of this model is the first in the G-SHOCK lineup to feature a rose gold ion plate finish. The dial of the AWM-500GD also has a vapor-deposition finish, which gives it the texture of metal.
