How does the ER-series outdoor water filter work?

Multi-Medium Quartz Filtration

Multi-medium filters consist of coal based activated carbon, anthracite and/or fine quartz for fine filtration of sediment, colour, excessive chlorine and suspended solids down to as small as 5 microns.

Water filter maintenance: How to clean and maintain my outdoor water filter

The filters for ER-Series are easy to maintain.

Depending on usage and water condition, just backwash once a week.

The valves on the water filter are labelled 1, 2, and 3 so that you can refer to them easily.

To do a backwash,

Step 1: Close Valve 2
Step 2: Close Valve 1
Step 3: Open Valve 3
Step 4: Flush out the accumulated sediments and rust until it is clear
Step 5: Close Valve 3
Step 6: Open Valve 1
Step 7: Open Valve 2

As for the filtration media, the carbon and anthracite layers should be replaced every 5 years.
